Earn While You Learn (EWYL) Scheme
The College facilitates the Earn
While You Learn (EWYL) Freelancing Scheme of the Department of Higher Education, Haryana,
Panchkula. Under this scheme, needy students (who are disciplined and dedicated)
are selected from various streams to provide their services in Laboratories,
Library and office for which they are paid accordingly at an hourly rate. Selection
of volunteer students is made by a duly constituted Earn While You Learn Committee
of the College under the chairmanship of the Principal.
The students are supposed to
work in their free periods and get firsthand knowledge of the office work. This
scheme gives an opportunity for earning while learning so that spirit of work
culture and confidence is inculcated in the students. For all these jobs, the students concerned are paid @ Rs. 100/- per hour (maximum number of six hours to be
permitted per week per student i.e. Rs. 600/- per week per student) so that a
student can earn up to Rs. 2400/- per month. A number of students have been
benefitted by this scheme every year in the College.
