Two-Day Financial Literacy Workshop at Government College Chhachhrauli

Under the guidance of Principal, Prof (Dr)Sunil Taneja,
The Departments of Economics, Computer Science and Commerce jointly organized a Two-Day Workshop on Financial Literacy in collaboration with NISM. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ understanding of savings, investment, mutual funds, risk management, and other financial instruments.
The programme commenced with an inaugural session addressed by Prof. Vinod Sharma (Associate Professor, Commerce), who warmly welcomed the NISM Resource Persons — Ms. Rajeev Jain and Mr. Jalaj Jain.
💡 Session Highlights:
The resource persons emphasized the importance of financial security for youth, stressing that today’s generation must be financially prepared for the future.
* Ms. Rajeev Jain explained key concepts related to savings, investment, mutual funds, and the share market.
* Mr. Jalaj Jain guided students through the process of opening a Demat Account and understanding market participation.
Additionally, Prof. Rajni Goel (Economics Department) highlighted the significance of financial management and discussed the importance of savings and making sound investment choices in the modern era.
The programme concluded with Dr. Neha Saini expressing heartfelt gratitude to the invited guests for their insightful contributions.
